Elevator Outage Options

In case of an elevator outage, use the following options or contact the station agent for assistance. Agents can arrange a ride to a different station in an accessible van if needed. 

PLATFORM 1 ELEVATOR (ANTIOCH DIRECTION)

• Can't enter station:   Take the Platform 2 elevator to the opposite platform.  Go back to Lafayette to board desired train.
• Can't exit station:  Continue on BART to Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre and then return to Walnut Creek.  Exit using the Platform 2 elevator.

PLATFORM 2 ELEVATOR (SFO/MILLBRAE/DALY CITY DIRECTION) 

• Can't enter station:   Take the Platform 1 elevator to the opposite platform. Go back to Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre to board the desired train.
• Can't exit station:  Continue on BART to Lafayette and return to Walnut Creek.  Exit using the Platform 1 elevator.

ENTERING WALNUT CREEK STATION

The train platforms at Walnut Creek Station are located on a raised platform. Concourse is on the street level.

There are two separate elevators for San Francisco, Millbrae bound trains or Pittsburg/Bay Point bound trains. Both separate elevators are located outside of the paid area. Between the two elevators, there is a fare gate to process your ticket. Press “P” for train platform level.

A prototype fare gate now encloses the elevator at the concourse level to bring the elevator into the paid area. 

At the train platform level, from either elevator, you will be at the far end of the platform.

EXITING WALNUT CREEK STATION

The train platforms at Walnut Creek Station are located on a raised platform.

There are two separate elevators for San Francisco, Millbrae bound trains or Pittsburg/Bay Point bound trains located at the far end of the platform. Press "C" for the concourse level.

When exiting from either elevator, you will be outside of the paid area. Between the two elevators, there is a fare gate to process your ticket. Press ‘S” for street level.
