Weekend BART ridership continues to heat up this summer season as more than 165,000 people hopped aboard last weekend to enjoy the best of the Bay.

Saturday, July 22, saw 93,000 trips on BART, and 72,700 trips that Sunday, July 23. What do these numbers signify? Our riders know that BART is a great way to access the Bay Area’s incredible array of events, outdoor activities, arts and culture, delectable eats, and more.

There’s a bevy of fun on the horizon that’s accessible by public transit, and our BARTable website has it all in one place. Click here for our BARTable weekend event roundup, which we publish every week!

Taylor Swift Comes to Town

You might have heard…a certain someone lands in the Bay for two nights only this weekend. That’s right – the Taylor Swift Eras Tour drops by Levi’s Stadium on Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29. Beat the traffic by taking BART + VTA to the concert (and spend the money you’d pay for parking on Swiftie merch instead).

BART will run extra trains and have extra security and staff to get concertgoers to and from the concert safely and swiftly. Safety parking lot escorts will be available after midnight for the special service. Learn more about taking transit to the concert with our handy guide.

BART is an easy and convenient way to get to the Bay Area’s biggest sporting events, including baseball games. Check out this BARTable guide for getting to the game, and happy tailgating, riders!

Weekend Read

Take a break from your screen while you’re riding or waiting and learn about how BART is using sheep to mitigate fire hazards around BART property. The sheep are munching their way to Pittsburg/Bay Point Station, and you might just spot them on the yellow hills abutting the Yellow Line.

Meet the sheep by clicking here.

Happy Riding!

We hope you enjoy your weekend adventures aboard our trains.
