Parking areas at Fruitvale Station being reconfigured
In the next few weeks, the parking garage at Fruitvale will be reconfigured to allow for more first-come, first-serve Daily Fee parking. More of our riders are using BART only occasionally, so we are expanding first-come, first-served Daily Fee parking to better accommodate these new commuting patterns.
Level 3, which is currently reserved for both Reserved (formerly known as permit) and Daily Fee parking, will be fully converted to Daily Fee parking. Customers using Daily Fee parking in the garage will benefit from a shorter walk to the station (see map). Overall parking space count will remain unchanged.
Data shows there is still ample parking for current reserved parking uses, and staff will monitor and adjust areas as needed. If you have any questions and concerns, please reach out to [email protected].
