Union City access changes starting 6/7/2021
July 2, 2021 update:
Starting June 27, 2021, our contractor will begin a new phase of construction to improve patron access to Platform 2 heading to SF Airport/ Millbrae/ Richmond at the Union City Station. We will
open the north staircase for added egress to the platform. The south staircase is still under construction and will continue for another month. The hours of construction will be between 7am to
3pm, Monday to Saturday. The work will not interfere with your access to the trains as a new escalator and stair will be available for your use.
You may experience noise and vibration while the work is happening. Our goal is to finish the work as quickly as possible.

Starting June 7, 2021, our contractor will begin a new phase of construction to improve patron access to Platform 2 heading to SF Airport/ Millbrae/ Richmond at the Union City Station. We will close the southeast staircase for renovation. It is expected to reopen in early July. The work will be done during the hours of 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. The work will not interfere with access to the trains as two new escalators and an elevator are available for use (see maps).
