El Cerrito del Norte Station Concrete Replacement Starts Monday 7/20

As part of the El Cerrito Del Norte modernization project, contractors will replace the concrete surface of the plaza area outside the north faregates, starting Monday, July 20. This will take place in stages to ensure that pedestrian pathways and at least one ticket vending machine are open at all times. 

This work will not close access to elevators, the ADA faregate or swing gate, the Station Agent booth, or buses and other curb zones. 

The contractor will create safe, ADA compliant pathways through the construction area. The work is expected to take approximately 3 weeks.

We are prioritizing this work now, when ridership is low to minimize impacts to passengers.
