New City of Oakland parking fee for Oakland BART lots

The City of Oakland is now requiring that an 18.5% tax be imposed on all parking fees collected in the City of Oakland, effective July 6, 2020. Because of this new parking tax, the new daily fee including this tax for parking at Coliseum, Fruitvale, Lake Merritt, Macarthur and Rockridge will be $3.55.  The new daily fee at West Oakland will be $12.40.  All of the net proceeds from the additional fees collected will go directly to the City of Oakland.  BART will not receive any additional revenue from this new tax.
