New Pit Stop bathroom added at 24th Street

There are clean, well-maintained public bathrooms near four of our downtown San Francisco stations: Civic Center/UN Plaza, Powell Street, 16th Street Mission, and 24th Street Mission.

The Pit Stop Program is a partnership between BART and the city of San Francisco. They are operated by San Francisco's Public Works and provide clean and safe public toilets near these busy BART stations.

The program uses semi-permanent JCDecaux self-cleaning toilets and portable toilets.

All the Pit Stop facilities are staffed by attendants who help ensure the toilets are well-maintained and used for their intended purpose.
