Delays of 20-40 minutes between South Hayward & Fremont nights & some weekends

On most evenings, between 9pm and closing, we will continue important electrical work near our tracks at Union City and Fremont. 

The work will cause 20-40 minute delays for passengers travelling to these stations as the trains will have to single-track and slow through the work area. 

The work may also cause delays for timed meets at 19th Street Station for passengers transferring between the Pittsburg/Bay Point Line and the Fremont Line. 

We realize that this will be inconvenient for you and appreciate your patience during this important work.

The video above shows the BART Structures crew laying concrete pads and creating supports for new electrical cable as part of our rebuilding efforts. It provides a glimpse at how extensive the project is and why we must single track while the work is taking place.
