Expect delays between Fremont & Hayward 10/24-25

Expect delays between Hayward and Fremont stations Saturday night through start of service Monday on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25.

We are working to prepare for the arrival of our new train cars for testing and as part of that program we need to modify the tracks near our Hayward Yard. We will do some of this work over two weekends in October. The work will require that we use only one track through the work area which will cause delays of approximately 15-20 minutes between Hayward and Fremont stations from 8pm Saturday night through Monday at start of service.

During the first weekend on Saturday night starting at 8:30pm and all Sunday 10/18, we will also be working on the platform supports and granite pavers on the east side of the Concourse level inside Union City Station. This work will block access to the east platform that will not be used during single-tracking. Barricades will be set up around the work area starting 8:30pm Saturday night and removed by 3:30am on Monday morning. Please follow the signs and instructions from BART personnel. The elevator and all fare machines will be accessible during the work.
