Pride Parade Service Breaks Sunday Ridership Record

The numbers are in and BART has a new record for Sunday ridership due in large part to San Francisco's historic Pride Parade festivities.

BART served 292,957 trips on Sunday smashing the previous record.

The previous Sunday ridership records were also from Pride Parade days:
2012 Pride Parade- 259,000 trips
2011 Pride Parade- 247,000 trips

BART provided beefed up service with extra trains running to accommodate crowds.  We also had more police officers on duty to keep passengers safe.  We want to thank our employees for helping make the extra service possible.
