BART to run longer trains during busy sports Sunday
BART will run longer trains Sunday afternoon to accommodate the tens of thousands of sports fans attending games in Oakland and San Francisco. Special event trains will help the Raider Nation get to and from the Coliseum as the Oakland Raiders host the St. Louis Rams at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Raider’s home opener. Baseball fans will also enjoy longer trains as the San Francisco Giants continue their run for a division championship at AT&T Park Sunday afternoon against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Fans are encouraged to buy round-trip tickets before the game to avoid potentially long lines at the ticket machines after the game. In a cost-cutting move, BART has discontinued the practice of staffing ticket tables before the games at two East Bay Stations.
Fans can plan their sports outing by using the BART QuickPlanner.
