Big changes to AC Transit service coming March 28

If you take AC Transit to get to and from BART, you’ll want the details on service changes being implemented throughout the agency’s service area on March 28.

Nearly all AC Transit bus lines that serve 19 BART stations in the East Bay will be affected. Many of the changes have to do with hours of operation and frequency of service. There are also more significant route changes – including the elimination of lines or line segments, as well as the introduction of new service, which in many cases replaces eliminated service.

While the changes do result in an overall reduction of bus service hours, they were designed to improve overall efficiency and create better connections to key destinations and transfer points, such as BART.
