Take BART to 39th Anniversary San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade

This year marks the 39th anniversary of the San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade. This year's theme is "In Order to Form a More Perfect Union…." The event will be held over the weekend of June 27 and 28, 2009. With more than 200 parade contingents, 300 exhibitors, and more than 20 community-run stages and venues, the San Francisco Pride Celebration and Parade is the largest annual gathering of LGBT people and allies in the nation. The two-day celebration is free and open to all. For more information including a full list of events, visit the Pride website at www.sfpride.org.

The Celebration at Civic Center (near Civic Center BART Station) is host to the Main Stage, which will include headline acts Solange Knowles, The Cliks and BoA -- the singer billed as Asia's No. 1-charting pop star (not to be confused with Bank of America!). You can get a link to a YouTube video of her hit "Eat You Up" on the Pride website. Plan your trip to the Pride celebration using the BART QuickPlanner.
