BART expands service for Giants-Padres, Raiders-Cardinals

BART will run longer trains on Saturday, Aug. 23, to accommodate the thousands of sports fans attending the SF Giants-San Diego Padres match-up at 1:05 p.m. and the Oakland Raiders-Arizona Cardinals 6 p.m. preseason game at McAfee Coliseum stadium.  As an added service, after the football game BART will add trains for the thousands of fans leaving the Coliseum.

BART personnel will be selling flash passes and round-trip BART tickets from tables at two stations to help ease demand at ticket machines.  A table will be open at the Dublin/Pleasanton and Fremont Stations on Saturday, Aug. 23 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. with BART staff selling flash passes to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport Station for football fans and regular round trip blue BART tickets to downtown San Francisco stations for fans headed to AT&T Park.

BART officials suggest riders buy round-trip tickets to avoid lines before the ride home.
