Take BART to Frida Kahlo at SFMOMA

Everyone recognizes her face. Few artists have captured the public's imagination with the force of Frida Kahlo. Her life and fame are closely linked to San Francisco. She began her career as an artist here in 1930, making her first commissioned portraits, and her reputation blossomed after her death thanks in part to San Francisco–based exhibitions and artistic homages. This major exhibition goes beyond the myth, providing an intimate look at her hauntingly evocative paintings, her personal photo albums and her revolutionary life.

The exhibit is showing at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art through Sept. 28, 2008. Visit www.sfmoma.org/kahlo or call 415-357-4000 for more information.

Receive $2.50 off an Adult General Admission ticket when you present your BART ticket at the SFMOMA box office. Limit one discounted ticket per BART ticket. Visit myBART.org for more details on this and other exclusive BART discounts.

To get to the SFMOMA, take BART to the Powell or Montgomery Street Station.  SFMOMA is located at 151 3rd Street, between Mission and Howard streets.

Please note, in anticipation of the popularity of Frida Kahlo, SFMOMA will be using a timed ticketing system, with tickets issued for specific dates and times. Only entry to Frida Kahlo is timed. You are welcome to visit any other exhibition in the Museum at any time on your date of entry.
