BART runs special All-Star service
BART will provide longer trains for fans attending the 2007 Major League Baseball All-Star Game at AT&T Park in San Francisco Tuesday, July 10, 2007, including extra event trains after the game. Longer trains will also operate for the All-Star FanFest at Moscone West Convention Center.
To get to AT&T Park, exit at BART at Embarcadero or Montgomery station and walk or transfer to Muni Metro N–Judah, T-Third or Ball Park Shuttle inbound to 2nd & King Station. For the Moscone West Convention Center, take BART to Powell Street Station and exit to 4th and Market Streets. Turn right on 4th. Moscone West is two blocks down at Fourth and Howard streets with a second entrance on Fourth Street between Howard and Mission Street. Use the BART QuickPlanner to plan your BART trip.
ADDITIONAL STATION AGENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE
Additional BART Station Agents will staff the San Francisco International Airport BART Station through Wednesday, July 11 to assist out-of-town fans arriving for the All-Star weekend and departing after the game. Extra Station Agents will also staff Embarcadero, Montgomery Street and Powell Street stations in downtown San Francisco.
TIGHTENED SECURITY IN PLACE
BART has tightened security by increasing the number of both uniformed and undercover officers on the system. Passengers will see officers doing more patrols and stopping trains at random to walk through cars looking for unattended items and suspicious behavior.
BART's nearly 350,000 weekday riders can also help by being the agency's extra eyes and ears. If you see something suspicious, say something. Report unattended items and suspicious behavior to any BART police officer or staff member. Use the intercoms at either end of a train car to talk with a Train Operator or pick up a white courtesy phone to speak with a Station Agent.
