BART to hold meeting on retrofit of elevated tracks and stations
BART to gather public comment on proposed project
The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is holding a public hearing on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 to gather comments on the proposed project to strengthen BART's elevated tracks and stations along the Concord, Richmond, Daly City and Fremont lines which is further described in a summary document of the environmental analysis.
The proposed project is part of the overall BART Earthquake Safety Program, which retrofits the original BART system to current earthquake standards in order to protect passengers and to preserve the BART system during and after a major earthquake.
The public can submit verbal or written comments at the public hearing on April 25, 2007 or by fax, mail, or email no later than 5 p.m., May 7, 2007.
