BART to run longer trains for busy sports Sunday

Trains will also be added to carry more passengers as pro games scheduled on both sides of the Bay

BART will run longer trains Sunday, August 20th as sports fans flock to pro games on both sides of the Bay. The Giants host the Dodgers in a 1:00 p.m. game at AT&T Park in San Francisco while the Raiders host the 49ers at the McAfee Coliseum in Oakland at 5 p.m. It's a potentially traffic-clogging combination for fans who don't use mass transit.

BART plans to run longer trains all day on the Dublin/Pleasanton to Millbrae (Blue) Line and on the Fremont to Richmond (Orange) line. In addition to its regularly scheduled trains, BART will run extra trains immediately before and after the games.

TICKET TABLES WILL HELP BART RIDERS GET TO THE GAME
Riders will be able to purchase one-way or round-trip tickets at special tables from 1 to 5 p.m. at Fremont and Dublin/Pleasanton stations. Football fans will also be able to purchase round-trip flash passes to the Coliseum/Oakland Airport Station. These ticket tables are in addition to the normal options BART riders have to buy tickets, from ticket machines or outside vendors.

BART OFFERS A QUICK, HASSLE-FREE RIDE FOR FANS
Baseball fans can take BART to the Giants game by heading to Embarcadero Station. From there fans can either enjoy a scenic walk along the Embarcadero or take MUNI's N Judah line to AT&T Park. Football fans headed to McAfee Coliseum exit at the Coliseum/Oakland Airport Station and join fellow fans on the walkway to the stadium.
