BART to offer special service for LGBT Pride and other weekend events

BART will run longer trains and add special event trains as needed for the LGBT Pride celebration in San Francisco and other events on the busy first official weekend of summer.

CROWDS EXPECTED FOR PRIDE PARADE

One of the weekend events with large crowds expected is the 42nd annual Pride Parade in San Francisco on Sunday, June 24. The parade will begin at Market and Beale (Embarcadero Station) at 10:30 a.m., and end at Market and 8th (Civic Center Station). You can access the parade route from any of BART's downtown San Francisco stations. Remember to buy a roundtrip ticket in advance or use a Clipper Card to avoid lines at ticket machines. Find out more about the celebration at www.sfpride.org

OTHER EVENTS DURING BUSY WEEKEND

In addition, the San Francisco Giants take on the Oakland A's in a three-game cross-bay series in Oakland on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are also several musical events throughout the weekend, including the Warped Tour Concert at AT&T Park, the New Edition Concert at Oracle Arena and the San Francisco Opera and Symphony performing.

BART stations open at 8 a.m. on Sunday.  To plan your trip, use the BART QuickPlanner.
