Daily parking fee to begin Feb. 22 at Pleasant Hill Station

Dear Customer:

Beginning February 22, BART will begin charging a $1.00 daily parking fee at Pleasant Hill Station. Drivers who park at this station on weekdays from 4:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. will be required to pay the daily fee. Parking fees help us meet our difficult financial challenges and maintain the quality service that you’ve come to expect.

DAILY PARKING FEE PAYMENT
Using EZ Rider Card
The easiest way to pay for daily parking is to purchase an EZ Rider card. Simply touch the card to the sensor disc on the EZ Rider parking validation machine located in the paid area of the BART station and you will have paid the $1 parking fee. Once you have signed up for an EZ Rider card, you will be sent a plastic hang-tag with a unique serial number. The hang tag must be visibly attached to your rear view mirror. Each time you use your EZ Rider card to pay for parking, money is automatically deducted from your account. Once the balance falls below a certain level, it is replenished from your credit card. To obtain an E-Z Rider card, go online to https://ezrider.bart.gov.

If you already have an EZ Rider card for transit, you must sign up for the parking EZ Rider parking program by accessing your account and adding the parking program option.

Using a BART Ticket or Cash
Without an EZ Rider card, you will need to take note of your parking stall number and then follow these procedures:
1. Proceed through the fare gates and go to addfare/parking validation machine.
2. Punch in your space number.
2. Insert your blue BART ticket or a dollar bill into the addfare/parking validation machine..
3. Take your receipt from the bottom tray of the parking validation machine.

PARKING LOT DESIGNATIONS
If you don’t have a monthly reserved, single day or Airport/Long Term parking permit, park in the areas designated “Fee” parking. If you have a monthly, single day or Airport/Long Term parking permit, please park in the areas designated “Permit” parking. Fee-paying drivers may park in empty

Please note that the original Pleasant Hill Station garage was built with Federal highway funds as a rideshare facility.
